Wine Bottle planter. Hanging on the backporch or in the kitchen window would be pretty.

Recycling: By the Numbers
- 544,000:Trees saved if every household in the United States replaced just one
roll of virgin fiber paper towels (70 sheets) with 100 percent recycled
ones.
- 20 million:Tons of electronic waste
thrown away each year. One ton of scrap from discarded computers
contains more gold than can be produced from 17 tons of gold ore.
- 9 cubic yards:Amount of landfill space saved by recycling one ton of cardboard.

Recycling tips 1: Start small To make a difference, you don’t have to start big. Remember, every effort counts, small or big. A small start is better than not at all, and it can help give you greater confidence to take bigger steps down the road. What it means to start small is to start with yourself. Look
at the things that you own and use. Things around you that you have
control over. These things could be in your home, in your workplace, at
your hotel room during your holidays, in your car, etc. |

Since this is the first post in regards to recycling...I would like to say that I do my best to recycle and reuse. In our home we do not purchase new furniture or appliances. We shop at thrift stores for most of our items we need. I would like to begin sharing my ideas as well as others regarding recycling and reusing. I would also like to hear others ideas on recycling and reusing.
As you see from our website, we recycle album covers into fashionable Muzikal Totes™. Quite honestly our profit margin on these items are not that great, it's just our little way of helping the earth survive. |
